Reasons to consider moving from PageXL to Grigora
Consider these trade-offs against your existing setup before planning a move.
The page ran out of room
Services, a price list and a proper contact page all wanted their own URL. PageXL's answer is another one-page site, or TOWeb, which is a different product entirely.
The newsletter meant a second signup
The Signup block fills in, and then you are told to open a Mailzy account, share a list and paste its URL back into the page. Two products to send one email.
The free plan closed
Since 1 October 2025 there is no permanent free tier. New sites get seven days and two sites, and then the app says the trial has expired and stops serving them.
The renewal is on you
Euro-only, annual-only, and non-recurring by design. One missed reminder email and the site a customer is reading goes dark until you pay again.
What PageXL does well
- Downloadable static build of the site on paid plans
- A builder that is a real phone app, not a companion view
- 0% commission, running on your own Stripe keys
- Cheap per site if you ship many one-pagers, at about 8 EUR each on STUDIO
Where PageXL falls short
- One page per site, permanently, with no route to a second
- No blog, no CMS and nothing that repeats
- No email sending, only a handoff to a separate Mailzy account
- Euro-only annual billing that does not renew itself

Grigora vs PageXL: feature by feature
A category-by-category breakdown, pricing, AI, design, e-commerce, email, SEO, performance, and support.
One page, and that is the whole site
Fit: GrigoraThis is not a limitation PageXL is hiding. There is no page tree, no sub-pages and no navigation structure, and the homepage FAQ says outright that a single page is not good for any website: if you have articles, news or many products, you need something different, and it points you at TOWeb, a separate desktop product from the same studio. Grigora treats pages as the normal unit of a site.
| Feature | Grigora | PageXL |
|---|---|---|
| Pages with their own URL | Plan-based allowances | One per site |
| Navigation menu across pages | Yes | Anchors within the scroll |
| Separate services, about and contact pages | Yes | No |
| Landing pages alongside the main site | Yes | A second subscription slot |
| URLs a search engine can rank | One per page and post | Exactly one |
Takeaway: A one-pager is a fine first website and a poor second one, and PageXL has no route from the first to the second.
The 19 blocks, and what is not among them
Fit: GrigoraThe live builder ships nineteen section types: Chart, Contact, Countdown, Counters, FAQ, Features, Footer, Gallery, Map, Picture, PriceTable, Product, Shop, Signup, Social, Team, Text, Timeline and Video. It is a well-chosen set for a small business page. None of them produces a post, a category, a tag or any repeatable collection, so there is no blog and no CMS at any price.
| Feature | Grigora | PageXL |
|---|---|---|
| Blog with posts and categories | Yes | No |
| Author profiles | Yes | Team block, static |
| Directories and collections | Yes | No |
| Moderated comments with admin replies | Yes | No |
| AI writing for long-form content | Yes | No |
| Section library | Blocks plus website templates | 19 section types |
Takeaway: You can update PageXL sections after launch, but ongoing articles and multiple page types call for a different content structure.
Euros, once a year, renewed by hand
Fit: GrigoraPageXL's billing is unusual and worth reading slowly. Every tier is annual, the checkout currency is hard-coded to euros, and the subscription does not auto-renew: PageXL says payments are non-recurring and you must renew your plan manually each year, with a reminder email as the only safety net. Miss it and the site stops being served. The advertised 4 EUR a month is the per-month equivalent of a 48 EUR charge taken upfront.
| Feature | Grigora | PageXL |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly plan | $15 to $59 month-to-month | No |
| Annual price, entry tier | $144/yr | 48 EUR/yr |
| Billing currency | US dollars | Euros only, no USD price |
| Automatic renewal | Yes | Manual, each year |
| What happens if you forget | Normal dunning | The site goes offline |
Takeaway: A cheap annual bill is only cheap while you remember to pay it, and PageXL puts that entirely on you.
From the signup box to a newsletter
Fit: GrigoraPageXL sends no marketing email and holds no subscriber list. The Signup block collects addresses, and the field it asks for is either an email notification subject or a Mailzy subscribe list URL: you sign up for Mailzy, a separate product from the same publisher, open the Lists menu, share a list and paste the link back. After publishing, the app offers a cross-sell button inviting you to inform your contacts with a newsletter. Grigora keeps the list where the site is.
| Feature | Grigora | PageXL |
|---|---|---|
| Subscriber list on the platform | 2,500 to 25,000 | No |
| Campaign builder | Included | Mailzy, separate account |
| Automations and segments | Included | No |
| Form submissions | Stored and exportable | Email notification |
| Professional mailboxes | From $5/mailbox | Separate provider |
Takeaway: PageXL collects the address and then hands you a second signup form, this time for yourself.
A shop with one tax rate and one shipping rate
Fit: GrigoraThere is a real shop here, and for a stall at a market or a handful of bespoke items it works. Products carry pictures, stock and a maximum quantity, variants are typed as free text lines such as Size = Small, Medium, Large, and basket mode lets a visitor add several items. What it does not have is everything that arrives with the twentieth order: no shipping zones, no regional tax, no discount codes, no customer accounts, no digital delivery, no subscriptions and no order back office, because orders live in your Stripe dashboard and your inbox.
| Feature | Grigora | PageXL |
|---|---|---|
| Product catalogue with its own pages | Yes | Products in one page section |
| Structured variants and options | Yes | Typed as text lines |
| Tax and shipping | Configurable | One flat rate each, one currency |
| Discount codes | Yes | No |
| Digital downloads | Yes | No |
| Order management | In the dashboard | Stripe dashboard and email |
Takeaway: PageXL's shop is a buy button with a basket attached, and its own FAQ tells anyone with many products to go elsewhere.
Growing up means buying the next product
Fit: GrigoraLauyan Software has been building web tools since 2005 and runs a small, sensible family of them: PageXL for one-pagers, TOWeb for multi-page desktop sites, Mailzy for email, Screenzy and WebLegalAI around the edges. It is an honest way to run a studio and a poor way to run a growing business, because every step up is a different login, a different purchase and a different thing to learn. Grigora adds the same capabilities inside one account.
| Feature | Grigora | PageXL |
|---|---|---|
| Multi-page site | Same plan | TOWeb, separate purchase |
| Email marketing | Same plan | Mailzy, separate account |
| Cookie consent and legal pages | Built in | WebLegalAI integration |
| Publisher and interface | English-first, billed in dollars | French studio, several interface languages |
| One dashboard for everything | Yes | No |
Takeaway: The moment PageXL stops fitting, the vendor's own answer is to sell you a different product.
Downloading the finished site
Fit: PageXLConcede this one properly, because it is rare. On any paid plan PageXL lets you download the complete static build of your site, the HTML, the CSS, the JavaScript and the images, to edit by hand or upload anywhere with an FTP client, and to export the whole page as a PDF. The one stated caveat is that server code for form submission is not included. Grigora has no code export at all, so leaving Grigora means rebuilding the layout elsewhere.
| Feature | Grigora | PageXL |
|---|---|---|
| Download the built HTML, CSS and JS | No | Paid plans |
| Host the result anywhere | No | Yes |
| PDF export of the page | No | Yes |
| Export content | Yes | Inside the static build |
| Forms after you move | n/a | Server code not included |
Takeaway: PageXL hands back a working copy of your site. Most builders, Grigora included, do not.
Your Stripe keys, nobody's cut
Depends on your needsBoth platforms take nothing from your sales. PageXL asks you to paste your own Stripe secret and publishable keys into page settings, so the charge is created on your account and only Stripe's card fees apply; until you supply keys, payments run in demonstration mode. Grigora charges 0% platform commission on every plan and connects to Stripe or Razorpay. Neither is Shopify with a transaction fee, and neither should be described as one.
| Feature | Grigora | PageXL |
|---|---|---|
| Platform commission | 0% | 0% |
| Gateways | Stripe and Razorpay | Stripe only |
| Whose account the money lands in | Yours | Yours |
| Card processing fees | Gateway's own | Stripe's own |
Takeaway: A genuine draw: both platforms also involve payment-provider processing fees.

Grigora vs PageXL pricing
PageXL is cheap per year and narrow per site. Read the currency and the renewal terms before you compare.
Website, CMS, newsletter and store in one plan
Grigora Starter, Pro and Business rates are $12, $20 and $45 per month billed annually ($144, $240 and $540 per year), or $15, $25 and $59 month to month. Plan limits apply to sites, storage, bandwidth, AI credits and newsletter subscribers. Payment-provider fees and optional paid services are additional.
One page per site, paid a year at a time
Read on 11 September 2026 from pagexl.com, which publishes no pricing page: prices come from the homepage structured data and the live builder bundle. Annual billing only, in euros, with no US dollar price. Payments are non-recurring, so each year is renewed by hand. PageXL's own screens disagree on the STUDIO limit, showing 20 in one place and 25 in another, and the split between SOLO and PRO beyond site count and upload size is not published.
48 EUR a year buys one page, in euros, paid upfront, renewed by you. $12/mo billed annually buys a multi-page site with a blog, a subscriber list and a catalogue, in dollars, renewing on its own. Those are different purchases, not two prices for the same thing.
The real cost: a very small business, one year in
Take a two-person business with a site, a few products, a mailing list and something to say once a month. Here is what each side needs to cover it for a year.
| What you pay for | PageXL | Grigora |
|---|---|---|
| Site subscription | 48 EUR/yr SOLO, paid upfront | $144/yr Starter, or $15 month-to-month |
| A second and third page | Not possible, TOWeb is a separate purchase | Included |
| Blog and CMS | Not available at any tier | Included, with comments and directories |
| Newsletter | Mailzy account, priced separately | Included, 2,500 subscribers on Starter |
| Sites per subscription | Up to about 25 on STUDIO at 192 EUR/yr | 1 on Starter, 5 on Business |
| Download of the built site | Included on paid plans | Not available |
| Renewal | Manual each year or the site goes offline | Automatic, monthly or annually |
PageXL is billed in euros and Grigora in US dollars, so the columns are not a like-for-like conversion and the exchange rate moves. Card processing fees apply on both wherever there is a shop. PageXL's per-plan storage and upload limits are not published.

Is Grigora the right PageXL alternative for you?
Where a one-page tool runs out, and where it is still the better buy.
PageXL alternative for a small business that outgrew the scroll
Services, pricing, about and contact each get a page and a URL, generated from a sentence rather than assembled section by section.
... for anyone who wants to publish
Posts, categories, author profiles and moderated comments, none of which exist in PageXL's nineteen section types.
... for a shop past its first dozen orders
A catalogue with structured variants, stock, digital downloads, discount codes and orders in the same dashboard as the site.
PageXL is the right call if...
The site is one page and will stay one page, you want the finished static files in your hands, and you would rather build it on a phone in your own language for 48 EUR a year.
Which one is right for you?
Choose Grigora if...
- The business needs more than one page and more than one URL
- You want a blog that keeps bringing people in after launch week
- The mailing list should live where the site lives
- The shop needs variants, stock, downloads and an order screen
- You want a card charged monthly, in dollars, that renews itself
Choose PageXL if...
- •One scrolling page genuinely covers the whole business
- •Owning the downloadable static build matters to you
- •You build and edit from a phone, and want the tool in your language
How to move from PageXL to Grigora
A one-page site can have a modest content scope, but its forms, store and shared anchor links still need migration planning. The work is deciding what becomes a page of its own.

- 1
Download the static build first
On a paid plan, export the HTML, CSS, JS and images while the subscription is live. It is the cleanest copy of your text and photographs, and the server code behind the form is not part of it.
- 2
Generate the new site
Describe the business in a sentence and Grigora's AI produces a multi-page first draft with layout and copy, which is faster than rebuilding the scroll by hand.
- 3
Turn sections into pages
Each part of the old page that deserved its own URL gets one: services, pricing, about, contact. Keep old section anchors where possible; fragments require client-side handling when mapping them to separate pages.
- 4
Rebuild the shop and start the list
Re-enter products as catalogue items with real variants and stock instead of typed text lines, reconnect Stripe or Razorpay, and import whatever contacts Mailzy or your inbox has been holding.
- 5
Test before changing DNS
Export the static files and list every section anchor. URL fragments are not sent to the server, so preserve useful old anchors on the landing page or implement a tested client-side mapping rather than assuming a server 301 can read them. Check page titles, descriptions, canonical URLs, internal links, image alt text, forms and checkout on the new site. Keep an old-to-new URL map, add relevant 301 redirects and monitor indexing after launch; redirects cannot guarantee unchanged rankings.
- 6
Point the domain and redirect
Connect the domain that was on the pagexl.com subdomain or your own, preserve old section anchors or implement a tested client-side mapping, and let the annual PageXL renewal lapse rather than cancelling anything.
Why people look for a PageXL alternative in 2026
PageXL is not a bad product and this page is not going to pretend it is. It comes from Lauyan Software, a French studio that has been making website tools since 2005, and it is aimed squarely at the person who wants one attractive, mobile-friendly page online in an afternoon without touching code or configuring a host. The builder is quick, the output is fast and the interface is offered in several languages, which matters a great deal if English is not the language you run your business in. People leave for one of three reasons, and none of them is disappointment with the page they built.
The business grew a second page and PageXL has none
There is exactly one page per site. No sub-pages, no navigation tree, no second URL. The homepage FAQ is unusually candid about it: asked whether single-page design is good for any website, PageXL answers no, and says that if you have a lot of content such as articles, news headlines or many products to sell, you need something other than a one-page website. It then recommends TOWeb, which is a separate desktop application you buy separately. That is a fair answer from a studio with more than one product, and a frustrating one if you thought you were choosing a platform rather than a single tool.
There is nothing to publish into
The complete section library in the live builder is nineteen blocks: Chart, Contact, Countdown, Counters, FAQ, Features, Footer, Gallery, Map, Picture, PriceTable, Product, Shop, Signup, Social, Team, Text, Timeline and Video. Read that list again and notice what is missing. Nothing there makes a post, a category or a collection, so there is no blog, no news, no case studies and no way to add anything after launch except by editing the same page. For a small business that expects search traffic to build over time, that is a hard ceiling: one URL, one title, one chance to rank.
Four euros a month is forty-eight euros, once, and only if you remember
PageXL markets SOLO as starting at four euros a month. The underlying offer, read from the homepage's own structured data, is 48 EUR billed annually, with PRO at 96 EUR and STUDIO at 192 EUR on the same terms. There is no monthly plan and no US dollar price anywhere, so a customer outside the eurozone pays in euros and absorbs whatever the card issuer charges for that. The unusual part is the renewal: PageXL states that payments are non-recurring and that you have to renew your plan manually each year, with a reminder email to prompt you. A subscription that switches itself off is a real operational risk for a site customers are reading. On top of that, the permanent free plan ended on 1 October 2025, when the changelog moved all free accounts onto a seven-day trial of the SOLO plan. What is left is seven days and two sites.
How Grigora compares
Grigora starts from the same place, a non-technical owner who wants a site quickly, and assumes the business will still be there in two years. You describe what you do, the AI produces a first draft with pages and copy, and from then on the site is something you add to rather than something you finish.
One subscription, in dollars, with the rest of the business included
Starter is $12 a month billed annually, or $15 month-to-month, and covers one site with multiple pages within its plan allowance. In it: a CMS with posts, categories, author profiles, directories and moderated comments; email marketing with 2,500 subscribers, campaigns, segments and automations; a store with a real catalogue, variants, stock and digital downloads at 0% platform commission on Stripe or Razorpay; and metadata, schema controls, sitemaps and IndexNow submission, with free SEO tools alongside. Pro at $20 and Business at $45 raise the site count, the AI credits and the subscriber ceiling. Grigora offers a free trial to start on, billing renews on its own, and White Label is available at $199 a month for agencies that want to resell the platform under their own name.
Where PageXL still wins
Two things, and both are substantial. The first is ownership: on a paid plan PageXL will hand you the finished static build of your site, the HTML, the CSS, the JavaScript and the images, to modify or host anywhere you like with any FTP client, with only the form-handling server code left behind. Grigora has no equivalent, so leaving Grigora means rebuilding the layout. The second is the phone. PageXL's builder is an installable Progressive Web App you can genuinely build an entire site on, camera included, and the sites it publishes are installable too. Grigora's editor runs in a mobile browser but it is built around a desktop canvas. If your website is one page, you want the files, and you want to make it on the bus, PageXL is the better buy and 48 EUR a year is a fair price for it.
Frequently asked questions
Grigora is a PageXL alternative for businesses that need multiple pages, a CMS, newsletter and store from $12/month billed annually. PageXL suits compact one-page sites and offers static downloads on paid plans. Its offers are priced in euros with annual payment, so compare billing terms and the number of sites you actually need rather than treating the monthly equivalents as monthly subscriptions.
PageXL has no pricing page. Read live on 11 September 2026 from the homepage structured data and the builder bundle, the plans are SOLO at 48 EUR a year, PRO at 96 EUR and STUDIO at 192 EUR, all billed annually in euros. The advertised 4 EUR a month is the per-month equivalent of the 48 EUR annual charge, not a monthly plan, and there is no US dollar price. Payments are non-recurring, so you renew by hand each year.
Not any more. The permanent free plan ended with version 4.0.0 on 1 October 2025, when all free accounts moved to a seven-day trial of the SOLO plan. Today you get seven days, up to two sites and no credit card, after which the app reports that the trial has expired and the sites stop being served. Grigora offers a free trial.
No to both. Every PageXL site is a single page by design, and none of the nineteen available section types creates posts, categories or any repeatable collection. PageXL's own FAQ points people with articles or large catalogues to TOWeb, a separate desktop product from the same publisher. Grigora includes a CMS and multiple pages, with page allowances depending on plan.
No. PageXL holds no subscriber list and sends no campaigns. Its Signup block either emails you a notification or hands the visitor to Mailzy, a separate product from the same publisher that needs its own account and its own list. Grigora includes the list, the campaign builder, segmentation and automations from 2,500 subscribers on Starter.
Yes, and it is straightforward because there is one page to move. On a paid plan, download the static build of the site first so you have the text and images, then generate the new site in Grigora from a description and give each old section its own page and URL. Re-enter products as catalogue items, reconnect Stripe or Razorpay, and redirect the old anchors so the traffic follows.
