A Ucraft alternative when the price should stop counting your products

Ucraft is cheap to start and honest about bandwidth: nobody meters your visitors. What it meters is stock. The $6 plan cannot take a payment, the $10 shop stops at fifteen products, and a built-in store costs $69 a month. Grigora sets plan price by sites, AI credits and subscribers, so adding the sixteenth product changes nothing on the invoice.

Quick answer

Is Grigora the right Ucraft alternative?

Grigora is a Ucraft alternative for teams that want newsletters and a CMS alongside their website and store. Ucraft is worth considering for marketplace integrations and its reseller plans. Compare product allowances, supported checkout providers and total add-on costs; neither a design nor every commerce integration transfers automatically.

Choose Grigora if you want…

  • A catalogue that is not a line on the price list
  • The store switched on at the entry price, not two tiers up
  • Campaigns, automations and a subscriber list in the same plan
  • Digital downloads without waiting for the $21 tier
  • Schema controls, IndexNow and free SEO tools

Stick with Ucraft if you…

  • •Need Amazon, eBay and Instagram listings from one catalogue
  • •Sell in person and want Square point of sale attached
  • •Want to resell a white-labelled builder from $39/mo
Bottom line: Ucraft charges you for shelf space. Grigora charges you for the platform and lets the shelves fill up.

Why people switch from Ucraft to Grigora

The four moments the product counter turns into an invoice.

1

The sixteenth product

Basic Shop at $10 a month annual holds fifteen. Adding one more is a jump to Pro Shop at $21, whether that sixteenth product sells or not.

2

The first download

Selling a PDF, a preset pack or an audio file needs Pro Shop, because digital goods are not on Basic Shop. The catalogue size you are paying for is beside the point.

3

The thousandth product

Past a thousand items the only plan left is Unlimited at $69 a month annual, which is more than six times the entry shop for the same shop with fuller shelves.

4

The newsletter that never arrived

Ucraft's knowledge base points at Mailchimp or a manual CSV export. The mailing list ends up on a second bill, with its own subscriber tiers to climb.

What Ucraft does well

  • A free plan that builds a real 15-page site with SSL and unlimited bandwidth
  • 0% transaction fee on every paid shop plan
  • Amazon, eBay, Facebook and Instagram selling bundled into the mid tier
  • A genuine white-label reseller product from $39/mo

Where Ucraft falls short

  • Plan price is a product count: 15, then 1,000, then uncapped at $69
  • The $6 Website plan cannot take a payment at all
  • No native email marketing; the documented route is Mailchimp
  • Ucraft's FAQ states plans cannot be downgraded

A category-by-category breakdown, pricing, AI, design, e-commerce, email, SEO, performance, and support.

The product ceiling on each tier

Fit: Grigora

This is the whole shape of Ucraft's price list. Basic Shop at $10 a month billed annually stops at fifteen products. Pro Shop at $21 raises that to a thousand. Only Unlimited at $69 lets the catalogue grow without a number attached to it. Nothing in Ucraft's plans meters visitors, so what you actually pay for is stock. Grigora's plans are set by sites, AI credits and subscribers, and the catalogue is not one of the levers.

Which checkouts each tier switches on

Depends on your needs

Ucraft's entry shop accepts Stripe and PayPal and nothing else. The fifty-plus payment methods, the twenty-plus shipping methods and the tax and VAT handling arrive with Pro Shop at $21. Grigora is narrower everywhere and says so: checkout is Stripe and Razorpay only, with no connected PayPal checkout; external PayPal links do not sync orders. Neither platform takes a cut of the sale.

What the cheapest paid plan can actually do

Fit: Grigora

Ucraft's $6 Website plan is a good site: unlimited pages, a custom domain, blogging tools, multilingual pages and embedded HTML. It cannot take an order. The eCommerce feature group on that plan is empty, so the first plan that can charge anyone is Basic Shop at $10, and it comes with the fifteen-product ceiling attached. Grigora's Starter opens the store, the CMS and the newsletter at once.

The SEO App, and what the free plan leaves out

Depends on your needs

Ucraft's SEO App is competent for the basics. Per-page title, meta description, share image, a sitemap toggle, index and follow controls, plus 301 and 302 redirects all sit in one panel. Its documentation stops there: no canonical control, no structured-data editor, no alt-text management. It is also missing from the free plan unless you buy the add-on reported at $4.99 a month.

Takeaway: Compare the published SEO controls with your actual content and workflow. Test representative pages for crawlability, metadata and performance; platform features do not guarantee rankings or AI citations.

Where the newsletter actually lives

Fit: Grigora

Ucraft's own knowledge base answers this plainly. To send a newsletter you connect Mailchimp in the store's Marketing section, or you export your customers' email addresses by hand and upload them to whichever service you have chosen. The only mail Ucraft sends itself is transactional: order notifications, plus the abandoned-cart recovery email that begins at Pro Shop. Grigora includes the list, the campaigns and the automations on every paid plan.

The Articles App and the one shape it knows

Depends on your needs

Credit where it is due: the Articles App is a proper blog. Categories, tags, featured flags, per-article SEO descriptions, related posts by tag, a comments setting and a publish control with draft and scheduling. Two things bound it. It is a fixed content type, so a directory, a listings page or a staff roster has to be forced into the shape of an article, and it is not on the free plan at all.

Amazon, eBay and the shop counter

Fit: Ucraft

The honest category, and it is not close. Pro Shop at $21 a month exports the catalogue to Facebook, Instagram, Amazon and eBay, keeps stock in step, and comes with a store-management mobile app. Unlimited adds a Square point-of-sale integration for physical retail in a handful of markets. Grigora sells from Grigora sites and does not do any of this at any price.

Reselling: Branded PayGo against White Label

Fit: Ucraft

Most general builders have no reseller product at all. Ucraft has three. The Branded PayGo tiers at $39, $69 and $109 a month let an agency or a host sell Ucraft under its own brand, domain, pricing and admin dashboard, with published wholesale rates per site that fall as the tier rises. Grigora's White Label is a single plan at $199 a month. Ucraft is cheaper to enter by a wide margin, and what the reseller passes on is a site and a shop, with no email platform in it.

Climbing the ladder, and not climbing back down

Fit: Grigora

Ucraft’s pricing FAQ says downgrading is not available. Review that restriction and the catalogue allowances before selecting a plan. Grigora permits plan changes under its billing terms, but its storage, bandwidth and audience allowances still need to fit the site.

Ucraft pricing as read live on 2026-09-11 from ucraft.com/pricing. Annual figures are the per-month equivalent the page displays; no yearly total is published, and the stated annual saving does not match the displayed tiers, so treat any percentage with caution. A Free Website plan at $0 covers up to 15 pages with Ucraft branding and no custom domain; an Essentials add-on, reported at $4.99/mo below the plan grid, adds a domain, badge removal and the SEO App. Branded PayGo reseller plans are listed at $39, $69 and $109/mo. Paid plans carry a 14-day trial with no card required.

Grigora Starter at $12/mo is a site, a CMS, a newsletter and a store with no product tier. The nearest Ucraft equivalent is Pro Shop at $21/mo annual, and it still stops at a thousand products with the newsletter bought elsewhere.

Is Grigora the right Ucraft alternative for you?

Where the product counter starts to hurt, and where Ucraft keeps the job.

Best Ucraft alternative for a growing catalogue

Stock that grows past fifteen items, and later past a thousand, costs nothing extra on Grigora. On Ucraft each of those thresholds is a plan change you cannot reverse.

… for shops that sell files as well as things

Digital downloads are on Grigora's Starter at $12. On Ucraft they begin at Pro Shop, so a small shop selling PDFs pays the thousand-product price to sell five of them.

… for anyone with a list to mail

Campaigns, automations and segmentation sit in the same dashboard as the products. Ucraft's documented answer is a Mailchimp connection or a manual export.

Ucraft is the right call if…

you need one catalogue listed on Amazon, eBay, Facebook and Instagram, or Square point of sale behind a counter, or a white-labelled builder to resell from $39/mo. Grigora does none of those things.

Which one is right for you?

Choose Grigora if…

  • The catalogue will outgrow fifteen products this year
  • You want downloads and a store at the entry price
  • The newsletter should be in the same subscription
  • You want schema controls and IndexNow, not just meta tags
  • You would rather not buy an add-on to remove a badge

Choose Ucraft if…

  • •Marketplace listings and stock sync matter more than email
  • •You sell in person and want Square point of sale
  • •You are reselling a builder and $39/mo is the ceiling

How to switch from Ucraft to Grigora

Ucraft does not publish a full site export, so budget for a rebuild rather than a transfer. The parts that do move are the ones that matter commercially: products, articles and the customer emails Ucraft's own documentation tells you to export by hand. Before moving everything, test a representative content export and check supported import formats. Keep media backups, reconcile product variants and retain subscriber consent and unsubscribe records; an export does not guarantee a direct import.

5 migration steps from Ucraft to Grigora, detailed below
A planning checklist, not an automated transfer. Read the steps below before changing your live site.
  1. 1

    Generate the new site first

Describe the business in a sentence and Grigora produces a first draft with pages, layout and copy. Keep the Ucraft site live while you compare the two.

  2. 2

Move the catalogue in one go

Test a representative product import with options, images and inventory. Rebuild marketplace and POS workflows separately; Grigora does not replace Ucraft’s external selling channels. Check capacity before bringing the full catalogue across.

  3. 3

    Bring the articles over

Copy posts from the Articles App into Grigora's CMS, keeping categories and tags. Anything you forced into an article, such as a directory or a team page, can become a proper collection instead.

  4. 4

    Export the customer emails

Use the manual customer export Ucraft's knowledge base describes, then import the list into Grigora's email tool and cancel the Mailchimp subscription that was doing the sending.

  5. 5

    Point the domain and redirect

Keep the old service active while you test the new site. Match existing URL paths or configure permanent redirects, verify canonicals and the sitemap, and test forms and checkout on mobile. Change DNS after these checks, then monitor indexing and errors before cancelling services you no longer need. Rankings may change during a migration.

Why people look for a Ucraft alternative in 2026

Ucraft is not a bad product and this page will not pretend it is. For a few dollars a month it gives you a clean drag-and-drop editor, unlimited bandwidth, SSL, 24/7 chat and no cut of your sales. The free tier alone builds fifteen real pages, which is more than most builders hand over at zero. People leave for a narrower reason than quality. They leave because of what the plan ladder counts.

Fifteen products is a weekend's worth of stock

Basic Shop, the cheapest plan that can take money, is $10 a month billed annually and holds fifteen products. That is enough for a handful of prints or a small run of ceramics and no more. The next rung, Pro Shop at $21, holds a thousand, which is a strange jump: there is nothing between fifteen and a thousand, so a shop with twenty items pays the same as a shop with nine hundred. Above that the only option is Unlimited at $69 a month annual. None of these numbers relates to how much you sell or how many people visit. They relate to how many rows are in your product table.

The newsletter was always somebody else's product

Ucraft has no campaign builder and does not claim to. Its own help article on newsletters, last updated in July 2024, tells you to connect Mailchimp in the store's Marketing section, or to export your customers' email addresses manually and upload them to whichever service you choose. The only mail Ucraft sends on your behalf is transactional: order notifications, and the abandoned-cart email that does not appear until Pro Shop. So the true monthly cost of a Ucraft shop with a mailing list is the Ucraft plan plus an email platform, and the email platform has tiers of its own to climb.

Ucraft Next arrived, and then the pricing page went back

There is a product-history wrinkle worth knowing before you commit. Ucraft built a rebuilt platform called Ucraft Next, and for a stretch the main pricing page belonged to it: archived snapshots of ucraft.com/pricing carry the Ucraft Next title from August 2024 to July 2025, then ship with the placeholder title next-test-1 from August 2025 into February 2026. By May 2026, and again when the page was read live in September 2026, it had reverted to the older classic plans described here. Alongside that, the Ucraft Next 2024 recap post now returns a 404, the newest post on the blog is the 2023 recap, and next.ucraft.com redirects to a domain serving the same classic site. Ucraft has published no explanation, so take these as observations rather than a story. The practical question for a buyer is simply which product they are signing up to, and today the answer on the live page is the classic one.

How Grigora compares

Grigora starts from the other side of the problem. The plan price is set by how many sites you run, how many AI credits you burn and how many email subscribers you hold. The catalogue is not one of those levers, so the decision about whether to list a slow-moving product is a merchandising decision rather than a billing one.

The catalogue is not a plan variable

Starter at $12 a month billed annually includes the website, the CMS with directories and moderated comments, a newsletter for 2,500 subscribers, and a store with variants, stock and digital downloads at 0% platform commission on your own gateway. Fifteen products or fifteen hundred, the invoice is the same. The comparable Ucraft build is Pro Shop at $21 a month annual for the thousand-product ceiling, plus a separate email platform, and the moment the catalogue passes that ceiling the only move left is $69. Grigora's own step up, to Pro at $20, happens when you want a second site or a larger mailing list, which are growth signals rather than storage ones.

Where Ucraft still wins

Two places, and both are substantial. First, channels: Pro Shop pushes one catalogue out to Facebook, Instagram, Amazon and eBay with stock kept in step, and Unlimited attaches Square point of sale for in-person trade. Grigora sells from Grigora sites and has no marketplace, no social shop and no till. If your growth plan runs through Amazon, stop reading and stay put. Second, reselling: Branded PayGo starts at $39 a month against Grigora's $199 White Label plan, with published wholesale rates per client site. An agency counting pennies on a small client book will find Ucraft cheaper to enter, though the product it resells has no email platform inside it, and Ucraft never defines what its imported and custom template allowances actually mean.
