Quick answer

Is Grigora the right Zyro alternative?

Zyro is no longer sold as a standalone builder; Hostinger moved active customer sites into Hostinger Website Builder. Grigora is an option if you now want a website, CMS, newsletter and store together. Compare your actual Hostinger renewal quote and current requirements, rather than treating historical Zyro discounts as available plans.

Choose Grigora if you want…

  • A platform that will not be discontinued out from under you
  • Email marketing in the plan, which Zyro never had
  • A store with 0% platform commission on every tier
  • Published monthly and annual rates to compare with your renewal quote
  • Directories and moderated comments without add-ons

Stay on Hostinger Website Builder if you…

  • •Are happy on the plan you were migrated to
  • •Want hosting, domain and builder from one vendor
  • •Value the lowest possible first-term price
Bottom line: Check the plan and renewal terms now shown in your Hostinger account, then compare the features and migration work that matter to your site.

Why former Zyro users are looking again

The friction points that show up after the migration, not during it.

1

The bargain ended

$2.61 a month was the reason many people chose Zyro. Renewals on the successor plan run to $25.99.

2

You were moved, not asked

Sites transferred automatically to a product nobody on them had selected.

3

Still no email marketing

Zyro never had it, and the platform it became does not add it.

4

The product can be retired again

A well-reviewed builder with paying customers was discontinued for brand reasons. That can happen twice.

What Zyro does well

  • Among the cheapest builders that included real e-commerce
  • Grid editor with no template lock-in and a separate mobile view
  • Early AI writer, business name and slogan tools
  • Blog with scheduling and multiple authors

Where Zyro falls short

  • Discontinued in April 2024 and no longer purchasable
  • No app marketplace and thin documentation
  • No evidence of built-in email marketing
  • Customers were migrated to Hostinger without being asked

What actually happened to Zyro

Depends on your needs

Worth stating plainly, because the internet is vague about it. Hostinger renamed the product to Hostinger Website Builder in February 2023. On 6 February 2024 it permanently deleted Zyro accounts that had no active subscription. On 5 April 2024 it announced that all sales and services of Zyro were discontinued. Paying customers were migrated automatically, with continuity described in Hostinger’s migration notice and three bonus months added to each plan.

The price you lost

Fit: Zyro

The honest category, and Zyro wins it. Zyro's Website plan was $2.61 a month and its Online Store plan $8.01. Grigora starts at $12. Nobody should pretend otherwise. The catch is that those Zyro prices are not on sale anywhere, and the renewal terms now depend on the Hostinger plan and account.

Takeaway: Historical Zyro discounts are no longer purchasable. Compare a current Hostinger quote with Grigora’s published plan.

Newsletter & email

Fit: Grigora

No Zyro feature listing we could find included built-in email marketing, and current Hostinger email products should be evaluated separately. Grigora includes the subscriber list, the campaigns and the automations, sized by plan.

Selling

Depends on your needs

Zyro's store was real: a catalogue with inventory and order management, on a plan that cost $8.01. Grigora's store is on every plan with no platform commission, but it starts at $12.

Blog & CMS

Fit: Grigora

Zyro's blog was better than most cheap builders: scheduling, multiple authors, categories. Grigora's CMS adds directories, moderated comments with admin replies, and an AI writer you direct.

Design & editing

Depends on your needs

Zyro's grid editor with no template lock-in and its separate mobile view were genuinely good, and its AI writer and name generator were early for their time. Grigora generates a design direction from a description and ships website templates.

Platform risk

Fit: Grigora

This is the part worth thinking about. Zyro was a well-reviewed product with paying customers, and it was still discontinued because its owner preferred a different brand. Anyone choosing a replacement should ask what happens to their site if the same decision is made again.

How to move a former Zyro site to Grigora

Your site now lives in Hostinger Website Builder. The content comes across by hand or by export, and the design is regenerated, which the AI draft makes quick. Before moving everything, test a representative content export and check supported import formats. Keep media backups, reconcile product variants and retain subscriber consent and unsubscribe records; an export does not guarantee a direct import.

5 migration steps from Zyro to Grigora, detailed below
A planning checklist, not an automated transfer. Read the steps below before changing your live site.
  1. 1

    Check what you renew at

Open your Hostinger billing and find the renewal rate on the plan your Zyro subscription became.

  2. 2

    Export what you can

Pull products, blog posts and contacts out of Hostinger Website Builder, and copy page text you want to keep.

  3. 3

    Start your Grigora site

Describe the business in a sentence and the AI generates a site with its own design.

  4. 4

Rebuild the store and start the list

Import products into Grigora Commerce, connect Stripe or Razorpay, and import contacts into the newsletter.

  5. 5

    Point your domain and redirect

Keep the old service active while you test the new site. Match existing URL paths or configure permanent redirects, verify canonicals and the sitemap, and test forms and checkout on mobile. Change DNS after these checks, then monitor indexing and errors before cancelling services you no longer need. Rankings may change during a migration.

What happened to Zyro

Zyro is not a builder you can sign up for any more. Hostinger, which owned it, renamed the product Hostinger Website Builder in February 2023, deleted Zyro accounts that had no active subscription on 6 February 2024, and confirmed in April 2024 that all sales and services of Zyro were discontinued.

The migration went well

This is not a story about lost websites. Paying customers were moved automatically, sites stayed online throughout, plans transferred at the equivalent price level, and every migrated subscription received three bonus months. Anyone holding several Zyro plans had their sites consolidated onto the one that expired last. As product shutdowns go, it was handled properly.

The price did not survive

What ended was the deal. Zyro sold a website plan for $2.61 a month and a full online store for $8.01. Those numbers are gone. The Hostinger plans that replaced them renew between $10.99 and $25.99, which is a different market entirely, and it is the number former Zyro customers actually meet at renewal.

Nobody was asked

The other thing worth noticing is that no Zyro customer chose Hostinger Website Builder. They chose Zyro, and were moved. That is a reasonable moment to ask whether the platform you ended up on is the one you would pick today.

How Grigora compares

Grigora is a website, a CMS, a newsletter and a store in one subscription, which makes it a wider product than Zyro was and a steadier one than a brand that can be retired.

Compare the current renewal quote and included features

Grigora Starter is $12/month billed annually and includes a managed site, CMS, newsletter for 2,500 subscribers and store with 0% platform commission. Compare this with the actual renewal quote in your Hostinger account, including remaining prepaid time, domain costs and required features.

Where Zyro still wins

Zyro’s historical Website plan was $2.61/month, while its store plans cost more. Those offers are no longer available. If entry price is the priority, compare current Hostinger introductory terms and the renewal quote with Grigora’s current rates.
