Use Cases: Who Wins With Better CTAs
From SaaS signup flows to ecommerce checkout, better button text moves every metric.
SaaS Landing Pages
Pair commitment verbs with value props ("Start free trial", "Book a 15-min demo").
Ecommerce Product Pages
Urgency + benefit drives "Add to cart" clicks ("Buy now — ships today").
Newsletter / Lead Magnets
Low-friction downloads with explicit promise ("Get the free checklist", "Send my playbook").
Blog Post CTAs
Mid-article conversion boxes with relevant, content-aware copy ("Grab the full framework").
Paid Ad Landing Pages
Match ad promise to button text for Quality Score lifts ("Claim my 30% off").
Email + SMS Campaigns
Short, urgent, action-first copy optimized for inbox previews and 160-char SMS windows.
8 CTA Mistakes That Kill Conversion
We see these on every landing page audit. Our generator skips them by default.
Using "Submit" or "Click here"
Generic CTAs kill conversion. Always pair an action verb with a specific outcome ("Download my template" not "Submit").
Burying the value after the verb
"Click to download the guide" loses to "Download my guide now". Front-load the action word.
Mixing first and second person
Stay consistent within a page. Switching between "Get my audit" and "See your results" creates cognitive friction.
Button text that hides risk
Never write "Sign up" when the action requires a credit card. The user expects free. Say "Start free trial, no card required" instead.
Too many CTA variations on one page
Every decision point should offer one primary + one secondary CTA. More than two dilutes focus and lowers total conversion.
Non-action verbs (nouns-as-buttons)
"Pricing" and "Features" are navigation labels, not CTAs. CTAs always start with a verb: "See pricing", "View features".
Irrelevant urgency
Fake urgency ("Only 2 left!") on a SaaS signup button is a dark pattern that tanks trust and can fail UX reviews.
Ignoring mobile tap target size
CTA copy must fit on 44×44 px mobile targets without wrapping awkwardly. Keep under 5 words. The generator respects mobile length limits.
